Cyber-Warfare

What is Cyber-Warfare?

Cyber-warfare is the use of computers and information technology to perform acts of war on governments or other large organizations. The initiator of cyber-warfare can be an individual, an organization, or another government. There are many different kinds of cyber-warfare, from specialized hacking jobs on a specific server to generally-targeted denial of service attacks. The ultimate in cyber-warfare is an attack that completely removes the ability for all of the members of an organization or government to connect to the Internet; in the modern information-centric society, this can lead to millions or billions of dollars of lost productivity, or worse.
